Podcast: Ulf Ekman's "Another Day of Victory"

I have bought myself an iPod Touch, and is starting to orbit my life around it ;)

One of the things that made me choose the Touch model was the ability to view preaching video podcasts. The iPod Classic was a bit overkill when it came to storage, 160 GB is too much for my needs.

Anyway, why I chose the Touch is not at all my point. I had some idea of which preachers' podcasts I wanted to subribe to, and I have found some along the way.

One of the best so far, is the Ulf Ekman podcast "Another Day of Victory". Ekman's thorough and biblical teachings, mixed with his real-life experience and calm way to speak makes his podcasts a pleasant experience.

Linus Torvalds forteller verden om Linux

Et ordtak sier at man ikke skal forakte den spede begynnelse, noe som også gjelder operativsystemet Linux. Linus Torvalds, mannen bak Linux, la 5.oktober 1991 kl 17:53 ut en post i et newsforum der han fortalte om sitt lille prosjekt for å lage et nytt system. Han beskriver systemet som temmelig mangelfullt og avansert.

"You also need to be something of a hacker to set it up (?) [...] It is currently meant for hackers interested in operating systems and 386's with access to minix."

Nå er Linux mye enklere, dette innlegget skriver jeg i Firefox, som kjører på Ubuntu 9.04. Og jeg er ingen hacker.

Fra de levende døde til den som var død, men lever

Anne Rice er mest kjent for sin vampyrkrønike. De tre første bøkene der er fantastiske, og er nevnt i min liste over bøker jeg anbefaler.
Nå er Anne Rice blitt frelst, og har begynt å skrive kristen fiksjon. Den første boka jeg har fått lest er Kristus Egypteren, (Christ the Lord. Out of Egypt) som er første bok i en serie.

Den tar for seg Jesu barndom, fra de flyttet hjem til Israel fra Egypt, og til han skjønner hvem han er. Anbefales!

Andre bok heter "Veien til Kana", men den har jeg ikke fått lest.
